This month we’re kicking off a new interview series where we ask our employees about the role they play in our agency, and a little bit about their family and personal life. We want to give you the ability to hear right from them about what gets them excited to come to work each day and how they personally help all of our clients.
First up, we have our Manager of Regulatory Compliance and Education, Heather Murray!
Heather, can you tell us how long you’ve been with the agency? – “It will be 10 years this coming September.”
What are your primary job duties? – “I facilitate financial literacy education presentations for clients of other nonprofit organizations or for employers. I also manage the agency’s licensing and compliance. The agency is currently licensed in all 50 states and I file renewal applications, annual reports, and other documents related to licensing.”
Would you please tell us a little bit about your family? – “My husband’s name is Rich, and we have a daughter named Grace who is almost 11 years old and a son named Ricky who is 9 years old.
Do you have any pets? – “Yes! We have a basset hound named Hunter.”
What’s your favorite vacation spot? – “Outer Banks, North Carolina.”
Any obsessions we should know about? – “Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies”
Would you say that you’re messy or organized? – “Well, I’m fairly organized at home, but I’m known for my messy desk in the office.”
What’s your least favorite food? – “Bananas!”
Do you have any hobbies? – “I enjoy reading and driving my kids around to their various activities.”
