CLIENTS SPEAK OUT -

"My husband and I had a wonderful experience. We were at a very scary, tricky point when we called ACCS. And now we are in a place where we RARELY ever use our credit cards. We are living within our means and are able to breathe! THANK YOU ACCS!Kelli S.

"It was great! They helped us get out of debt again. I would recommend this program to anybody that is in over their head with credit card debt. Thank you so much! It feels great to be debt free!"  ~ Jennifer J.
"I know that I wouldn't have been able to get out of debt without your help. I really didn't pay much attention to my statements (except to be sure my payments were applied correctly) the 1st couple years because my balances were so high. Once my balances got lower I challenged myself to pay extra to get them paid off sooner. The 1st step of deciding who to go to for help was the hardest but as soon as I spoke with ACCS I knew I made the right choice. I was embarrassed by the amount of debt I had accumulated but everyone I spoke with was so very nice and understanding and I knew you would be able to help. Now I'm much more aware of what I spend and if I don't have the cash for it I don't buy it. Although my experience with ACCS was great and they worked to get me out of debt I know that our time together is over and I couldn't be happier about that!"  ~ Toni W.

ADVANTAGE EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT -

This month we’re kicking off a new interview series where we ask our employees about the role they play in our agency, and a little bit about their family and personal life. We want to give you the ability to hear right from them about what gets them excited to come to work each day and how they personally help all of our clients.

First up, we have our Manager of Regulatory Compliance and Education, Heather Murray!

Heather, can you tell us how long you’ve been with the agency?  – “It will be 10 years this coming September.”

What are your primary job duties? – “I facilitate financial literacy education presentations for clients of other nonprofit organizations or for employers.  I also manage the agency’s licensing and compliance. The agency is currently licensed in all 50 states and I file renewal applications, annual reports, and other documents related to licensing.”

Would you please tell us a little bit about your family? – “My husband’s name is Rich, and we have a daughter named Grace who is almost 11 years old and a son named Ricky who is 9 years old.

Do you have any pets? – “Yes! We have a basset hound named Hunter.”

What’s your favorite vacation spot? – “Outer Banks, North Carolina.”

Any obsessions we should know about? – “Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies”

Would you say that you’re messy or organized? – “Well, I’m fairly organized at home, but I’m known for my messy desk in the office.”

What’s your least favorite food? – “Bananas!”

Do you have any hobbies? – “I enjoy reading and driving my kids around to their various activities.”

ADVANTAGE CHALLENGE -
Are you up for the Advantage Challenge?

Advantage CCS challenges YOU to reduce your food budget by tracking what foods you eat the most and what you buy that you don’t use.

Studies show shoppers throw away 10-12 percent of what they buy.

Clean out your cupboards, the refrigerator, and your freezer. See what you are buying that you haven’t used and that needs to be tossed.

Do you always think that you need something, like rice, because you forgot you already bought it, and now you’ve got six boxes of rice in your cupboard?

Write down what you’ve got in your home and refer to the list before you shop. Make a shopping list and stick to it. You’ll be much less likely to buy unnecessary items.
