We want to welcome last month's visitors. Thank you for worshiping with us! |
Each month we will highlight an outreach or special ministry. Loose cash offerings and designated offerings will be given directly to those ministry opportunities.
In April we collected $794.00 for Youth Scholarships!
ChristAid International is serving Christ by aiding impoverished children and elderly women in Uganda. This year we are trying to raise $7,000.00 to build a home for a grandmother raising 10 grandchildren. She is sponsored by a family at our church.

Message from Council President
Greetings!
As spring approaches, I hope you all take a moment to enjoy a moment to reflect on the amazing beauty God created in Evergreen and the amazing Church family we have at LCC. We are truly blessed to have each other! Also, we have sadly said goodbye to a couple of our family members, Evan Owens and Martha Merrill. We pray for their families to have peace in knowing they both loved Jesus with all their hearts. I encourage all of you to take a stroll through the prayer walk so lovingly created by Gloria and Evan Owens and remember Evan's dedication to making it a place for all to enjoy and connect with God.
Also, I wanted to give you a quick recap on the remodel project which is nearly complete. The total project cost was $129,000 completely funded by the $100,000 created by refinancing the mortgage on the building and $29,000 generously contributed and designated to the project by congregation members. We now have a beautiful and inviting facility that we can all be proud to share with others in our community. Thank you all for your patience during the process and your encouragement along the way!
Now that we have a beautiful facility on the inside and outside, it's time to make sure the Evergreen community is aware of the jewel that is LCC. We have several community events planned for this summer including the Youth Rummage Sale, the Ice Cream Social, the Rodeo Parade, Christian Day Camp, and our outdoor worship service. These events are all opportunities to show off our amazing grounds and updated facility, so I encourage all of you to participate, enjoy, and invite friends to experience the love at LCC.
Lastly, thank you to our wonderful staff and all those who volunteer to make things happen at LCC!
Blessings to All
Nonie

Pastor Philip is on sabbatical through July 17. Sabbaticals are a part of Pastor's contract and LCC's policy. John Bergen is providing the primary leadership and many others are supporting by providing sermons, leading worship, and other areas. .
The theme of the sabbatical is Beaks, Peaks, and the Holy Spirit Speaks. The sabbatical includes 2 months in the US and one month in Africa. During this time Pastor will be spending time in God's creation bird watching, climbing peaks, and spending time in God's Word to be refreshed and inspired to a renewed passion for ministry.
Please continue to pray for Pastor as the renewal takes place.
