Potomac Pedalers e-News MAY 2017
Welcome to the very first Potomac Pedalers e-Newsletter! You'll find the same Club information formerly found in our Pedal Patter newspaper. The e-News links directly to events on the website and lets you read about and register for events directly. As with anything new, we'll be tweaking the e-News as needed and in response to your feedback. Look for delivery to your inbox by the 1st of every month. (Submit materials or stories for consideration by the 20th of the preceding month.)

The upcoming month's RIDE SCHEDULE will continue to be posted online about a week prior to the end of the current month.

Black Hill Picnic Ride
Saturday, June 10
Our annual ride from Black Hill Regional Park is a club tradition; this is the 22nd annual edition. This multi-grade, pot-luck picnic ride has attracted 150-200 riders in recent years; it’s a great  time for all. Bring the family and let them play by the lake or hike the park trails while you blast the hill and have them meet you after the rides end around 1:30.

Virginia Countryside O-N-O
June 17-18
"One Night Overnight" rides (ONO for short) are low key and low cost mini bicycle vacations that start not more than a couple of hours from the Beltway and will usually entail an overnight stay.

This is a 52 mile per day rolling ride in pretty Virginia countryside from Orange, Virginia to Charlottesville, Virginia and back.

Shenandoah Weekend
July 7-9

Dreaming of summer, a cool mountain breeze, and spending some time poolside? Then mark your calendars for the Potomac Pedalers Shenandoah Valley Weekend. Based in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, the area is a fabulously bucolic place for cyclists — no sprawl, little traffic and plenty of corn.
Carlisle Weekend
August 11-13

The rides will remain in the same idyllic location of rolling farms, where you will have choices of a number of mileage options, with big climbs or just the lovely rolling country-side. We will also be riding through Boiling Springs! Lots to do for non-cycling partners as well.
