A child care provider's engagement helps create a community of care to support families—especially those involved in foster care—to be the best they can be even under stress.

Political and educational leaders began discussions for a day to honor teachers in 1944. In 1953, Eleanor Roosevelt persuaded the 81st Congress to proclaim National Teachers’ Day. Congress declared March 7, 1980, as National Teacher Day. The National Education Association continued to observe Teacher Day on the first Tuesday in March until 1985 when the National PTA established Teacher Appreciation Week as the first full week of May. The NEA Representative Assembly then voted to make the Tuesday of that week National Teacher Day.

A time to celebrate and honor all of the wonderful mothers in our lives.

This is a time for communities to show appreciation for these community helpers. It is a great opportunity to get to know members of law enforcement and strengthen police-community relations.

CCEI offers SCH105: Service-learning for School-Age Children and Older Youth as a  no-cost online child care training course to  new CCEI users May 1-31, 2018. 

 

This  is a two-hour, intermediate-level course and grants 0.2 IACET CEU upon successful completion. CCEI professional development courses are available to account holders with an active, annual in dividual or center-based subscription, or can be purchased individually.

CCEI  students have completed over 

2,160,000 online courses  and more than 9,000  early childhood professionals have graduated from certificate programs. CCEI also maintains  excellent student satisfaction scores  and  99.4%  of students say they would   recommend CCEI to others .
