LSSU Board of Trustees approved a one rate tuition at Lake State that extends across the globe. The worldwide one rate tuition is effective beginning fall 2018. Previously, the one rate tuition applied only to students residing in North America.

Dr. Kirk Mauldin and Dr. Melissa Schaffer-O'Connell have been selected to teach at Dalkieth Castle as part of the University of Wisconsin River Falls Experience Scotland Program. Dr. Mauldin will be on the Dalkeith, Scotland faculty for the Fall 2019 semester, while Dr. Shaffer-O' Connell will be in residence during both summer sessions in 2020.

Paul Theriault '72 was inducted into the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame recently.
Theriault spent 10 years with the Oshawa Generals, leading the team to 2 OHL championships.
Paul is a Laker hockey alumnus & was an assistant/JV Laker hockey coach.
Carol McClellan '65 was named HLK Boss of the Year for Frankenmuth.
McClellan owns and operates several businesses and has mentored and employed many people throughout Frankenmuth, Sault Ste. Marie and other locations in Michigan.
