Dear Neighbor,

Happy Spring! It is my pleasure to share our May E-Newsletter which highlights important budget work and district events taking place. It is my sincere hope that those who observed Easter and Passover had a blessed holiday and I extend my warm wishes to our Muslim community during the Ramadan season. I send my gratitude to our hardworking and dedicated educators during Teacher Appreciation Week and thank the School District 9 Team for its everyday mission to prepare our future leaders with the skills needed to thrive.
In this newsletter, you will find a City Hall update, district news and upcoming events taking place in the district. I take this opportunity to wish our phenomenal women a Happy Mother’s Day. Thank You to our strong and courageous Mothers who are raising their child/children with love and care. During this holiday, I celebrate my Mother, Phyllis Gibson, all that she means to means to me and the shining example and role model she has been.

Please contact our district office at 718-588-7500 or email at with any questions you may have.
