2019 Annual Meeting & Awards Breakfast

The 2019 Chamber Annual Meeting & Awards Breakfast was held on Tuesday, May 7th at the Polk Township Building. Over 90 chamber members and guests were in attendance. Sherri Clevenger, Board Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and Chamber President/CEO Joe Kleinknecht led the Pledge of Allegiance. After the innovation by Pastor Rick Maddox, a buffet breakfast, catered by Avita Nutritional Services, was enjoyed by all.

During the Annual Meeting, Board of Directors were voted on and approved for terms from May 2019 until May 2022. The following will serve on the Board of Directors: Craig Clinger, Galion Building & Loan Bank; Pennie Fox, Fox Plumbing & Heating; Terry Gribble, Galion Community Center YMCA; Terri Longstreth, Longstreth Memorials; Kim Winkle, Avita Health Systems. Executive Committee Officers were voted on and approved for two-year terms from May 2019 until May 2021. The following will serve on the Executive Committee: Erik Flick, Flick Packaging, Board Chair; Kim Winkle, Avita Health Systems, First Vice Chair; Matt Horn, Brothers Body and Equipment, Second Vice Chair; Keith Hummel, Tramec Sloan, Secretary/ Treasurer; Sherri Clevenger, First Federal Bank of Ohio, Immediate Past Chair.

Joe Kleinknecht presented his 2018 year end report and thank the chamber membership for another great year. In closing, he thank those in attendance, the chamber board of directors, chamber ambassadors, staff, safety council manager and those that help with our programs and events throughout the year.

United Way of Crawford County will be hosting its inaugural Celebrity Bartender on Thursday, June 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pickwick Place. 2019 Route 30 Business Expo held April 18th
The 2019 Route 30 Business Expo was held on Thursday, April 18th at the Loft Pickwick Place in Bucyrus. This business to business expo was a joint collaboration of three chambers of commerce: the Bucyrus Area, Galion-Crestline Area and Wyandot Chamber. 54 tri-county business and organizations were exhibitors for the event, filling both the bottom chapel area and the upper banquet reception room. An estimated 200 plus community members were in attendance for the networking event.

Title sponsor for the 2019 Route 30 Expo was Community Opportunity. Other sponsors included Avita Health Systems, A-1 Printing, Mizick Miller, SCORE of North Central Ohio, Mix 106.1/ WMFD TV, Pickwick Place, and iHeart Media.
