COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE
Coach's Corner
We are off and swimming into the summer and Long Course season. We had some great swims at the Platte City 500 with the Blazers taking the overall team trophy and 5 high point awards.

It was great to see our Blazers swimmers being so supportive of each other at the High School Girls State meet no matter the school that they attend. Congratulations to all our participants, we look forward to having you back in the pool with the Blazers. I have always known the Blazers to be loud and proud, cheering and supporting teammates and friends. I am looking forward to seeing our team continue to do the same this upcoming weekend in Wichita.
I’m sure that all our coaches and swimmers are looking forward to getting outside; it is our busiest time and most enjoyable time of the year. During this period, it is important that our swimmers remember that they are responsible for getting the appropriate nutrition and rest to make the summer a success. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to any of the coaching staff so that we may provide any additional support you or your athlete may need.

Thank you, parents, who took the time to fill out our parent survey, the response was fantastic and will give us some things to consider as we move forward. We are hoping to launch an updated version of our website here soon.
Safe travels for anyone who is getting out of town over Memorial Day.

Coach George Adcock

LCM Summer Practice Schedule - Update
Summer break is fast approaching! Our Summer schedule will begin Tuesday, May 28th. Detailed practice schedules for the summer are published on your groups site pages (Links below).
Please note: There are a few changes for afternoon practices the first three weeks, as the schools close their pools on rotation over that time for cleaning. If you have any questions about the summer schedule for your swimmer or how to balance Summer League and the Blazers, please contact your group coach.

Summer is a busy time for our swimmers; please keep in mind that each training group has suggested attendance guidelines appropriate for the objectives of that group. We look forward to cheering our Blazer swimmers on in their summer league programs. However, we encourage our swimmers to continue attending their Blazers swim practices in anticipation of an exciting championship season in July. Please communicate with your group’s head coach your plans for the summer and how they align with your goals.

We are looking forward to a fast and enjoyable summer!

After each meet, we will post/update eligibility reports in the event pages. You can find time standards for Missouri Valley swimming meets here. If you have any questions about your swimmer's eligibility or attendance at these meets, please contact your group coach.

Team Resources
Swim Meets: Why Team Travel?
KCB offers two team travel meets a year and this summer we are excited to be taking our largest group to Des Moines, Iowa for the DSMY June Invite! Team travel meets provide a wonderful opportunity for our team to bond as a unit, support each other through the shared joys and challenges that come with being a swimmer, allow our young swimmers the opportunity to take responsibility and ownership of their swimming and experience competition outside of MV Swimming! When you put in the work, it pays off in a big way. Every experience has value; to learn, to grow, and from which to gain strength. Relish in the small wins as much as the big ones, ask questions, fail forward,* and always remember to trust yourself, trust your coaches, and trust the process!
