Meet Cleo
Cleo has been a client in our Step Up Sacramento Permanent Supportive Housing program for almost four years. By participating in our program, Cleo received the resources, support, and encouragement he needed to work towards a Bachelor’s degree.

With his perseverance and the support of our case manager Jolayne, Cleo has now completed school and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies!

Spotlight: Francis House Center
Francis House is considered the front door of Next Move. We provide the resources, support, and inspiration to help individuals and families transform their lives from living in crisis to having long-term stability.

We offer a wide range of resources that are available to all community members, including bus passes, California I.D. vouchers, a clothing donation center, and hygiene kits.

Some of the most impactful services we offer are in our Job Development Center. Community members can receive employment coaching, resume services, job search assistance, and interview clothing.

Learning skills for life
One of the many ways that we empower our clients to reach higher levels of self-reliance is by providing Life Skills Support Groups.

Our clients at Casa de Esperanza and Step Up Sacramento have completed two of our six life skills sections so far, and have learned valuable skills such as motivation, anger management, stress reduction, and conflict resolution.
Donor appreciation
A big thank you to The Engagers of Sacramento City College, Awesome Appliance Repair, and Stephens Foundation for donating resource bags of women’s undergarments and breast health information!

Donations like this are critical for many of our clients who do not have access to basic resources. These resource bags will be made available to our clients at Francis House Center who are seeking help and support to end their homelessness.
Big Day of Giving 2019 - Thank you!
We are so grateful for everyone who supported Next Move on Big Day of Giving by donating, attending our Kick-off Gathering, or being an advocate in the community! With your support, we were able to raise $12,355 to help those experiencing homeless reach self-sufficiency.

This would not have been possible without your support and that of our generous sponsors !
