College Decision Day

May 1st is National College Decision Day and the Resurrection Class of 2019 enjoyed a special time today showing off their college apparel. To date, the class has been awarded over $15.5 million in grants and scholarships to colleges and universities, and the dollar amount continues to rise! Special congratulations to the 48 seniors who have been awarded $100,000 or more in collegiate scholarships!


Some of the universities Resurrection students have committed to include Ball State University, Benedictine University, Bradley University, Butler University, Colorado State University, Columbia College, DePaul University, Drake University, Illinois State University, Iowa State University, Lake Forest College, Loyola University Chicago, Marquette University, Michigan State University, Northern Illinois University, Saint Louis University, Temple University, the University of Arizona, the University of Iowa, University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Kansas, University of Missouri-Columbia, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Valparaiso University, West Virginia University and Western Michigan University. Congratulations to these schools and others who will be receiving Resurrection women as students at their colleges and universities!

Final Athletic Booster Club Meeting May 1 at 6:45 pm
The last Athletic Booster Club meeting of the school year is this evening, Wednesday, May 1 at 6:45 pm in the Library. Voting for officers for next year will occur. Currently secretary, treasurer, and vice president are open. We will also discuss the Cubs concession stand.

Spring Sports Athletic Banquet  
  The spring sports athletic banquet will be Wednesday, June 5 at 6:00 pm at White Eagle Banquets in Niles. Please mark your calendars and watch for information on reservations.


Honor Society Inductions

The Honor Society Induction Ceremony will be held tomorrow evening, Thursday, May 2, beginning at 7:30 pm in the Little Theatre. Students who have met the criteria for one or more of Resurrection College Prep's eight honor societies have been invited to this ceremony and inducted into their societies. Students should arrive by 6:45 pm and report to the cafeteria. 


Following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the cafeteria for inductees and their guests.

Just the Girls Spa Night

Ladies of all ages, join us this Friday for a  girls night out  of yoga, relaxation, salon services, food, shopping and fun!  Gather your girlfriends, treat your mom, bring your daughter or come make some new girlfriends at Res!  The evening includes 20 minute yoga sessions, make your own sugar scrubs, make your own water spritz bottle, accent nail application from Color Street, detox waters, a tea station, and appetizers. Feel free to participate in any or all of the services!
 

Mini spa services and pink hair extensions from Salon 360, make your own roller balls with Young Living Essential Oils and an opportunity to treat yourself at the Kendra Scott Pop-Up Shop will be available for additional fees. 

Women & girls of all ages are welcome!
$15 per person


Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All parents and guardians are invited to Pizza with the Parents Club on Wednesday, May 8 at 7 pm in the Library to say thank you to our "graduating" board members and welcome freshmen parents. Come meet other Resurrection parents and enjoy free pizza and beverages.

Class of 2020  Senior   Portraits
 
Senior Portraits are scheduled for  June 4, 5, 6 by appointment at the Resurrection Little Theatre.  Retakes will be available July 24 and 25. Students will receive a date and time from Lifetouch/Prestige Portraits, in April or May. The date and time will be sent directly to students' homes in the mail and appointment changes can be made with the company.


Student to Student Used Book and Uniform Sale


The annual  Used Book & Uniform Sale ,
hosted by the Resurrection Parents Club,
will be Saturday, June 8 from 8:30 to 9:30 am in the cafeteria.
