Held on May 11, 2019 at Lake Martin, this event promises fun for everyone. Enjoy reminiscing with old friends, delicious camp food, live music and a special guest speaker! Dr. Sugar Surf Comes to Alabama!

Join Camp Seale Harris for Alabama's first
Sugar Surfing Workshop
facilitated by Dr. Stephen Ponder, MD, FAAP, CDE on
Thursday, May 9, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Canterbury United Methodist Church in Birmingham, AL.
Dr. Ponder is the well-known author of
"Sugar Surfing: How to manage type 1 diabetes in a modern world,"
and was recently named the
2018 Diabetes Educator of the Year
by the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
Open to the public, the Sugar Surfing Workshop will teach Dr. Ponder's method of "Dynamic Diabetes Management" in an interactive, fun, and visual format. Seating is limited.

Summer Family Camp May 10 - 12

New to T1D life or a long time veteran? Whether your family has mastered the "2 a.m. BG check, morning bolus, eat & get out of the door to school rush" or you are still trying to fit all the pieces together of 24/7 life with T1D, Camp Seale Harris Summer Family Camp is just the fun getaway your family needs!
At family camp, families come together to learn and share their common experiences in a supportive setting. The weekend includes workshops, speakers and panel discussions! Activities include: zip lining, archery, boating, fishing, a campfire, and MORE!
Family camp is a great way to see a sneak peek into camp life for kids that come to summer overnight camp! Each family stays together in air conditioned rooms/cabins, and all meals, snacks and activities are provided. Families include members of
all ages

Join Camp Seale Harris and your T1D friends at Dave and Buster’s in Panama City on Sunday, May 26 from 2-5 p.m. This
FREE
event will include diabetes education, information about Camp Seale Harris programs & events, and of course games for all ages! This event is for children with diabetes and their families. Limit 4 attendees per family.
