Here’s a look at some of our current PCSS activities. All are available at no cost and many provide continuing education credits. Take the courses yourself or share this email with colleagues who may be interested in learning more about these educational opportunities! 
SUD 101 Core Curriculum*

This 22-module course provides an overview of evidence-based practices in the prevention, identification, and treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental disorders. Healthcare professionals who complete this curriculum should see an increase in their competence and confidence as they treat patients who are diagnosed with a substance use disorder. [Learn more]
Chronic Pain Core Curriculum**

A comprehensive core curriculum for primary care providers in treating chronic pain and addressing concerns about opioid use disorder. The modules that make up the curriculum give up-to-date and evidence-based information on best opioid prescribing practices and treatment of opioid use disorder. [Learn more]
PCSS Performance in Practice***
This activity, to be performed over three months, will assist physicians, physician assistants, nurses and nurse practitioners to determine individual practice gaps and address them through a performance improvement plan designed to improve competence, performance, and patient outcomes.

AOAAM's Half and Half Eight-Hour Waiver Trainings***
The American Osteopathic Academy of Addiction Medicine continues to hold "half and half" eight hour waiver trainings. The first half is a live webinar and the second is self-paced and online. The next live webinar portion is scheduled for Jan. 11, 2020 from 8 am to 12 pm. Notice of Funding Opportunities
The Health Resources and Services Administration is accepting applications for the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Program: Behavioral Health Integration . The fiscal year 2020 application cycle opened on December 4 and closes on February 19, 2020. The purpose of this program is to increase the access to and quality of behavioral health services through team-based care models in interprofessional nurse-led primary care teams in rural or underserved areas. The Department of Justice (DOJ) has announced that it will be releasing $333 million in additional funding geared towards helping address the nation’s opioid epidemic. Across nine different programs, the DOJ has indicated that efforts to combat the epidemic remain a priority. [Learn more]
