Trinity, Fulton: Together in Prayer
One of the awesome things about being in a small congregation is that you are a family in many ways and most of the time it’s a great thing. So since we have now had eight weeks of “ Coronatide” we are really missing one another and after several phone calls we came up with the idea of a motorcade to our members homes who have not been able to get out in the community. We had yard signs made that included the Episcopal Church shield and said “Trinity Episcopal Church Together in Prayer. “ I had made prior contact with each of the four individuals to warn them to be listening for lots of noise and to come out on their porches when they heard us coming. One person was responsible for placing the sign in the landscape while one of our youngsters tied helium balloons to the mailboxes. There were lots of happy tears with truly genuine smiles while everyone obeyed the social distancing order.
