The Latest Resources for Cancer and the Coronavirus

Although the world is experiencing extraordinary difficulty in the face of the coronavirus, Cancer Care continues to provide new resources to help those affected by cancer. Among our latest resources are fact sheets that address how to manage the practical concerns of social distancing and a new addition to Cancer Out Loud: The Cancer Care Podcast, a five-part miniseries about cancer and the coronavirus.

CancerCare National Gala Moves Online for 2020

Last month, Cancer Care  made the difficult decision to cancel our  national gala to ensure the safety of our supporters, our staff and the public at large. We hosted an online auction and donation opportunity instead. Thanks to the hard work of our events team, and the enthusiasm of our supporters, we exceeded our net fundraising goals, allowing us to continue to provide our free professional services to people affected by cancer.

"We are so grateful to our sponsors and partners who honored their gala commitments despite the cancellation of our in-person event," shares Patricia J. Goldsmith, Cancer Care  CEO. "There has been a remarkable increase in demand for our services, and the success of the gala auction enables us to continue supporting our clients both through existing programs and through new resources being developed in direct response to the pandemic."

Undergraduate applicants must be from the five boroughs or Bergen County, but may attend college anywhere in the United States.
