Happy New Year!
It's Time to Sign up for the
2020 Parade of Homes
This years 2020 Parade of Homes will be here before you know it. The dates for the Parade are Sept 26-27, Oct 3-4 & Oct 10-11. Tickets sales once again support "Operation Finally Home". We are only taking 30 houses so don't delay. Find the Builder Agreement and a list of important dates below. Deadline to enter is June 26th.

CAB PAC Foundation Club
There has never been a more important time for us to support elected officials that are pro-residential building. This election season, we intend to vet candidates thoroughly and hold them accountable for listening to our concerns.

If you would like to be a part of the team that interviews potential candidates for local offices, and get one of only 25 "Foundation Member" pins, you should become member of the CAB PAC "Foundation Club". Your donation will help to elect candidates that support our association members and values.

Changes to the National Electric Code
There are lots of changes coming to the National Electric Code. The Dallas Builders Association has put together a 23 minute video outlining the changes in the 2020 code.

I also have a PowerPoint presentation put together by the International Association of Electrical Inspectors that can be found here.
Fishing Tournament Update
The fishing tournament has been rescheduled for June 26th & 27th. This year we are opening the tournament to our friends over at CCAR, ABC and AGC. Download the app below and get your team registered today!

LIVE CALCUTTA AUCTION
FRIDAY NIGHT 6:30 PM

The CBHBA office will be back 100% on Monday, May 4th. We are still located at our temporary office downtown in the 1st Community Bank building and the office hours are 8am-5pm. We are excited to be back and look forward to rescheduling all our missed events in the near future.

All scheduled events for May are postponed until further notice.
TDI implemented changes to the building code. These changes were to take effect on April 1st. However, with the help of Rep. Todd Hunter and our state association (TAB), we were able to get these changes delayed until September 1st.

These updates bring Texas into compliance with the 2018 IRC codes.
