COVID-19 Prompts #GivingTuesdayNow Campaign on May 5 to Support Nonprofits
The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is encouraging community members, families and businesses to participate in #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity, on May 5, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. The Community Foundation is encouraging gifts to causes and nonprofits donors care about. Donors can also give to the COVID-19 Disaster Response Fund, which will be matched by Toyota Financial Services up to $25,000. Funds For the Community Cycle 1 grant recipients will be announced this week. The Community Foundation received 83 grants requests for a total of $1.9 million.
More information and details for the funding priorities and process for the Funds for the Community Cycle 2 will be available soon. The deadline will be Friday, June 12, 2020.

Iowa Women's Foundation Accepting Grant Applications Through April 30
The Iowa Women's Foundation is now accepting applications for 2021 projects focused on serving the needs and aspirations of women and girls in employment, child care, housing, education/training, transportation, and mentorship.
