Applications are open for National Banner!
Once a school has become a Unified Champion School they are eligible to apply for National Banner Recognition. 
A Unified Champion School receiving national banner recognition is one that has demonstrated commitment to inclusion by meeting 10 national standards of excellence. These standards were developed by a national panel of leaders from Special Olympics and the education community.
2021 Timeline for application;
4/1 - 9AM - Applications Open
6/1 - 9AM - Applications Close
June - Special Olympics Programs Application Review
July - National Certifying Body Application Review 
Aug./Sept. - School Notification
Spring 2022 - Applications Re-Open

5/19 - Intent to Enter
5/19 - Rosters Due
5/28 - Final Entries to division for Sectionals
6/7-6/12 - Sectionals Week

It has been an MASC plunge season like no other! Similar to everything else this school year, you had to pivot, think outside of the box and work harder than ever to achieve what you wanted! But prove you did, MASC!!

The YAC meets regularly to plan our Youth Summit, work on inclusion campaigns, advocate and inform about our Unified Champion School Program across the state.

Please forward this leadership opportunity to empower an athlete/partner pair to represent your school. The ideal candidates are Freshmen, and Sophomores. We want to have representation from all around the state!

Using Your Voice, Making the Choice, Being the Change
The MIAA Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee invites you to an Educators Symposium Thursday, May 13th 9-12:30.
The adult symposium is targeted for administrators, teachers, athletic directors, guidance counselors, adjustment counselors, and other school staff. The DEI would like to celebrate the success of our DEI efforts while recognizing the dire need for continued work in these areas.
