Plant of the Month: Beans, beans, and more beans!
- Sow seeds when ground and temperature are warm (ideally at 10 Celsius).
- Beans need half a day of sunlight.
- Plant approximately 12 plants per person.
- Bush, green and yellow beans are ready to harvest in approximately 48 days. Pole beans are ready in about 62 days.
- Try a variety of beans in different colours and flavours, such as lima beans, purple coloured or striped pod beans.
- Follow directions on seed packages for best results.
