GLSTC Replaces HVAC System: This Improved Air Quality is a Benefit for ALL Students !

GLSTC just completed a complete HVAC replacement project to our lower level! We greatly appreciate your patience while we had this important task completed!

Why did we choose to take on this large (and expensive) project? We actually started about two years ago, on a journey to better regulate the heating/cooling between classrooms in our lower level. (Yes, I am guilty of adjusting the thermostat to improve my classroom, while it may not have made the neighboring classroom so comfortable.)

Our mechanical contractor worked with us to see how we could retrofit our current furnaces, ducts, and other equipment to meet our needs. We hired an industrial hygienist to conduct air quality tests and provide us with a written report. After careful consideration, it was decided to proceed with all new systems in our lower level.

Many of you reading this already knew the value of having upgraded HVAC equipment. The rest of us learned an awful lot in the last year, since COVID-19 hit. We are proud to have these upgrades completed to provide not only a more comfortable classroom experience, but also one that is as safe as it can possibly be.

GLSTC's new HVAC system provides:
  • Increased indoor ventilation rates
  • Increased outdoor ventilation
  • Increased air filtration
  • (And I no longer inconvenience the classroom next door when I adjust the thermostat!)

GLSTC is passionate about the health & safety of our guests, students,
and employees.
