May 2021

This time last year we knew we wouldn’t be returning to brick and mortar for the remainder of the school year. Our teachers were working hard to stay connected with our little ones through a screen, and there was so much confusion and uncertainty about what school and life would look like in the Fall. I appreciate this school and what we do here now more than ever and am so grateful that we were able to spend this year with your precious children.

All Saints School is truly a magical place with incredibly gifted teachers and loving staff. Our staff is dedicated to professionalism in all areas and has worked hard to earn over 500 hours of continuing education this year! From COVID-19 policies and procedures to trauma-informed care and education, our teachers and staff continue to remain knowledgable and passionate about best practices in the field of early childhood education.

This month we are officially kicking off our major fundraiser, Brick by Brick, to help replace the school playground by next summer, the summer of 2022. After 24 years of use by thousands of children and families, it is time. Thank you to our PTO President and Vice President, Caitlin Yarbrough and Maggie Rhine, as well as Kristen Pontius and Julia Stewart for all of the behind-the-scenes work that went into making this fundraising campaign possible. This is the biggest fundraiser in the history of All Saints School. Check out the information below, and please help in any way you can!

I am proud to be a part of this wonderful school. I’m proud of our mission to nurture the whole child through Christ. I’m proud of our play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Thank you for choosing All Saints School to be a part of your child’s early years. We love and appreciate each one of you and look forward to seeing many of you this summer!

With Love,

Thank you to Emory, Rosie, and each of the staff members and teachers that made this year truly special. We are so grateful that our children were able to be at our loving school every day.

Thank you to Maggie Rhine, the PTO Vice President, for her hard work this year. I know she will be a fabulous PTO President next year! I would also like to thank all members of the PTO for putting on the various events and fundraisers throughout the year - we especially appreciate the extra time and thought you put into making them happen! And thank you, parents, for your participation.

Please support the Brick by Brick fundraiser. It is a special way to memorialize your child’s time at All Saints while raising much-needed funds!

If you would like to get involved in the PTO next year, there are so many fun opportunities to meet new friends and serve our school. Please reach out to EmoryRosieMaggie, or myself if you are interested.

The All Saints School playground has seen thousands of children flow in and out of its welcoming gates over the years.

Now, after more than 20 years of use, we have a significant need to replace our entire playground – from the flooring on up to the equipment at an estimated cost of over $150,000.

To support this effort we are excited to be kicking off our major fundraiser to help replace the Cotten Education Center playground by next summer, the summer of 2022.

You can support our New Playground in two ways:

  • Buy a Brick: We are offering the opportunity to memorialize your family’s presence at All Saints School by purchasing an engraved brick that will be placed in our main breezeway walkway.
  • Make a Donation: We are also seeking monetary donations (tax-deductible) to support this monumental effort.

Please e-mail our All Saints School PTO today at with any questions.
Messy, muddy play provides children endless opportunities to learn while having fun as it creates very special childhood memories. Our ‘little saints’ have discovered many natural treasures in our very special play space throughout the month of April. A pair of mourning doves created a nest and in two weeks, the eggs hatched. A pair of cardinals have built a nest very close but at a higher elevation than the mourning doves’ nest too. Young children thrive as they experience the wonders of nature and the joys of learning outdoors.

Please join us in congratulating and celebrating Ms. Peggy, who is currently in her 30th year teaching here at All Saints School! Peggy started working here in 1991 when her daughter, Casey was three and her son, Ty was one. Since then she has joyfully taught Infants, Ones, Threes, Pre-K, and currently Kindergarten. Two of her grandchildren are also All Saints graduates - Jagger, class of 2013 and Harley, class of 2016. Her grandson Finn is a current student, finishing up his year in the Older Ones.

“In 1991 I was a stay-at-home mom with 2 children, and I was going nuts! I found out about this sweet little school where I could teach and enroll my children. I loved the idea of working and still being able to be around my kids. At the time I never thought this would be a lifelong career, but here I am 30 years later! The Christian, Christ-centered environment has always been the most important thing to me and one of the many reasons I fell in love with this school. I’ve made deep, meaningful friendships here and I just know that I wouldn’t be able to find a school culture like this anywhere else! One of the highlights of being an early childhood educator is seeing the immense growth of each child from the beginning of the year to the end. It’s like you can see your work and your impact in action. It’s impossible to put into words how I feel about All Saints School. It’s just so precious and is such a big part of my and my family’s life.”

Our Older Two’s class bunny has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Agnes enriched the lives of countless children and families over her years here at All Saints. Year after year, the children loved bringing Agnes extra veggies from home, reading stories to her, and watching her hop through the classroom. Little did they know they were learning empathy, compassion, and responsibility along the way. Pets are a blessing!
Please mark your calendars with these upcoming events.
