June, 2021

Dear Chamber Members-

Hello and Happy June! First & foremost, I want to thank Mary Karnitz for the wonderful job she did serving as President while we navigated through a crazy time. She had many curve balls thrown at her, and she handled them all beautifully. I am looking forward to serving as your Chamber President for this year.
While we were unable to meet in person for our board meetings during Mary’s term, we were happy to be able to join our board back together for the first time in many months in May. We held an in-person, socially distanced board meeting, and we couldn’t have been happier to see each other. I’m excited for the return of some normalcy, and am even more excited for the fantastic summer that the hard working women at the GACC have put together for us!
First up is the Giro d’Grafton where we will again be hosting a stop on the Tour of America’s Dairyland race series. On Saturday, June 19th please make sure to stop by and check out these amazing races go through downtown Grafton.
Next, come celebrate Independence Day at Grafton’s Holidaze with us on Saturday, July 3rd! The day will start at 11 a.m. with a parade going through downtown Grafton and end with “The Best Fireworks North of Milwaukee” at Lime Kiln Park.
But that’s not all! I encourage you to visit (and LIKE!) our Facebook page to see all the great events they have planned for us including the Grafton Farmer’s Market, the Grafton Traveling Food Truck Tour, and Ladies Night Out - my personal favorite!
To reiterate, I am SO excited to be your Chamber President and fully intend to take advantage of all of the wonderful things Grafton has to offer in the upcoming months! We hope to see you all there as well.

Grafton K9 Foundation, Inc , in cooperation with the Grafton Police Department is working on becoming a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. There are currently three board members on the Grafton K9 Foundation, and are looking to add several more at-large members.

We would love to have as much community support and involvement as possible and are looking to bring aboard individuals that have a passion for animals, especially working dogs(!) and support this great cause to bring law enforcement K9s to the Village of Grafton. In addition, ideal board members would be able to meet, either in person or remote, for board meetings at least quarterly, with greater involvement during the initial stages and fundraising efforts.
For more information on becoming a board member or how you may be otherwise available to support the Grafton K9 Foundation, please contact Sergeant Patrick Brock at pbrock@village.grafton.wi.us or (262) 375-5320 extension 808.
