Educational Resources
World Reef Awareness Day is June 1
PBS LearningMedia has many options to help introduce your students to the biology and ecology of coral reefs.

  • Take PreK and Kindergarten students on a Coral Reef Tour with Splash & Bubbles.

  • Students in Grades 3-5 can join the Kratt brothers for a Coral Reef Creature Count to discover the variety in the coral reef habitat.

  • For middle school students, this Coral Reefs resource explores the effects human activities have on the chemistry of the ocean.
Free Materials for Educators
Kindergarten through Second Grade teachers are invited to request free sets of Cyberchase: Green It Up materials for your class. The content is perfect for classroom use as well as sending home for students to complete with their families this summer. Family activity books, educator guides, seed packets, and more are currently available.

Contact Colleen Kenyon, Senior Coordinator of Education Services, at [email protected] to check availability and request a set for your class.
