We are getting back in the swing of things and heading into the best time of year here in Freeport and the rest of Long Island.
Those lazy hazy days of summer. Barbeques, outdoor activities, open beaches, boating, and all those things that remind us of how to relax, unwind and enjoy ourselves. This year, I think we will appreciate being together and out and about more then ever! It looks like it’s going to be a grand summer.
The restaurants are all open and the local shops are ready for your business.
Freeport has so much to offer, and there is something for everyone, so come on down, dine, shop and explore the community.
We have our canoe race with the PBA, which is scheduled for August 1st, and are in the middle of preparations, so be sure to stay tuned for more news to join in on the festivities.
Our membership is growing! We had another Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Liquor Warehouse of Freeport, so check them out for your party needs on 101 Buffalo Ave.
Thank you to all those who sent in their membership renewal dues. We appreciate you and could not do this without your support. Our community is stronger and more vibrant because of you! Without your support we can not have these activities and festivities.
This year we are able to have and will participate in the Memorial Day Parade on Monday May 31st. We could use your help. Please call or email the office if you would like to be a part of this.
Our next directors’ dinner is on Tuesday June 22nd and it will be open to all members, so if you would like to join us, we welcome your presence. I will post a location shortly.
You can find all our members there with their information and websites, helpful information on COVID and other resources. Also visit the Freeport Chamber of Commerce on Facebook and Instagram.
Our next luncheon will be live and will be held on June 8th at Bracco's, 319 Woodcleft Ave. at 12:30 PM.
Our speaker is Legislature Steve Rhoads.
Who will be addressing: Business Development and Economic Recovery.
Another email will be sent out as a reminder. I hope you will be able to join us.
Wishing everyone a safe, fun and peaceful Memorial weekend.
