The Community Fund
Do you (or someone you know) want to participate in fitness, wellness, aquatics, and community-building programs, but do not currently have the financial means? Apply to participate in the Community Fund, which aims to remove financial need as a barrier to programs that support our neighbors physical, emotional, and social needs.

Hello NECC Community! Can you believe its already May? After all that April snow we were thinking it had to still be January. We're very glad to have gotten past that last bit of chilly weather and are looking forward to enjoying the sunny days to come.
In this edition of our newsletter, you'll find our May fitness schedules, an update about our Chipotle fundraiser, learn how to view our online facility schedule, and hear some exciting new additions to our pool programming. Check it out!

May Fitness
Our Spring group fitness schedule continues next week, with no changes between April and May. We are still offering a mix of in-person and virtual group classes, as well as water exercise classes and lap swim times.

Chipotle Fundraiser Update
We know that many of you were excited to eat tacos and support NECC last month and, like us, were disappointed when the fundraiser was cancelled at the last minute by Chipotle. We learned that the store was forced to close for the weekend because of staffing issues, and though they intended to inform the NECC, that message was not sent (again because of staffing issues).

Chipotle apologized for the cancellation and lack of communication, and they provided a donation to The Community Fund. We won't be rescheduling with Chipotle but we are planning to have another restaurant fundraiser for The Community Fund this summer. If you know of a favorite local business that you would like to suggest, please reach out to Kim Ositis, Development Manager, at development@necommunitycenter.org.

We only have a few spots left in our summmer bike camps. Sign up your camper to learn the rules of the road, how to fix a flat tire, and how to complete their own bike maintenance and safety manual.
