Nine Universe Wireless DMX Broadcast at Tesla’s Giga Texas “Cyber Rodeo” Grand Opening Party

A Multiverse® wireless DMX/RDM system was recently used at Tesla’s Giga Texas “Cyber Rodeo” Grand Opening Party in Austin, Texas in April 2022, which celebrated the electric vehicle maker’s new $1.1 billion factory, and was attended by 15,000 guests. The dual band Multiverse 900MHz/ 2.4GHz solution used included one Multiverse Transmitter to broadcast nine universes of wireless DMX data out of the console and 10 long range Panel Antennas to transmit and receive 700 feet from the console over both the 2.4GHz and 900MHz bands. The Lighting Designer for the event was Rob Ross of Rob Ross Design, and the various parts of the lighting package were provided by 4Wall, Christie Lites, Wireless Film Lights, and The Design Oasis. We spoke to Associate Lighting Designer Aidan Marshall of Rob Ross Design to learn more about how the team achieved their goals.

Tech Support Tip: Test Multiple Fixtures at Once

Ever wonder how to use the Multi Fixture control feature with your DMXcat® Multi Function Test Tool, in which you can test multiple fixtures at once? Our Tech Support team has found that many DMXcat users are still learning how to use this feature. First, make sure all of your fixture personalities are in your Fixture Controller Favorites list, then click on the Multi Fixture Link. You can then click the "+" icon to start adding fixtures and groups to your setup. Once you have selected the personality you would like to patch you are presented with the fixture setup screen. QolorFLEX NuNeon in MJ's Transformative Scenic Design

MJ: The Musical on Broadway, created by Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon and two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, is backed by an all-star creative team, including two-time Tony Award winner and two-time Emmy Award winning Scenic Designer Derek McLane and six-time Tony Award winning Lighting Designer Natasha Katz, among others. All MJ designers are nominated for 2022 Tony Awards, which will take place on June 12, 2022. We think this Live Design article by Ellen Lampert-Greaux showcases the transformative scenic design behind the show beautifully, which crosses over to include lighting solutions such as our bright and flexible linear lighting product, QolorFLEX NuNeon®.
