mark corral.JPG

Mark Corral

As the son of a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army, Mark Corral learned a lot about the importance of performing one’s duty even when it isn’t comfortable. When Mark and his wife Alicia (Dawson) decided to start a family, they settled here in York County because they wanted to be close to their extended family and, more importantly, they knew this was the kind of community they respected and wanted to be a part of, a place where they could raise their children with the conservative Christian values important to all of us.

The Corral family actively put their beliefs into practice by, among other things, helping to start Grace Covenant Church in Rock Hill.

A graduate of Spring Valley High School in Columbia, Mark attended College of Charleston, and is presently studying at Reformed Baptist Seminary.

Mark is committed to transparency and reforming state government. Having been a successful businessman and entrepreneur in real estate, he is currently managing the regulatory change process for a financial firm where he is trusted to make sure each area of the business complies with state and federal laws in order to protect consumers.

Mark wants to bring that same level of commitment and energy to state government as well. By fighting for transparency and government reform, Mark wants to keep South Carolina a great place to live, work, and raise family.

Barry Baker

I have been in politics one way or another for most of my life. Last campaign I worked on was the successful election of Brandon Guffey to the County Council in 2020.

I am anti-abortion, pro Constitutional Carry, and pro Election Integrity.. I will always respond to the citizens of District 46 asap and listen to your concerns. I am a Liberty/MAGA candidate, recently endorsed by The SC Republican Liberty Caucus. I believe in limited government and less intrusion in your life by the government bureaucracy. Freedom and Liberty. And most important, especially, in York County, everyone knows I am not a RINO, but a true conservative.

Brandon Guffey is running for the 48th State House District. He says, “I was raised in Rock Hill, went to school here, met and married my wife here, and we’re raising our family here. This is where I learned the value of hard work. I have built multiple small businesses in Rock Hill and work hard to give back to our community. I do the same in serving on the York County Council. Tommy Adkins

My name is Tommy Adkins. I am a life long citizen of Western York County. I have been married to my best supporter for 34 years. My wife and I have 7 wonderful children. I believe in God first and He gives me strength.

As a 56 year old hard-working Dairy Farmer and Mechanic, I want to represent the voice of the York County District 3 citizens. I am for good urban economical growth but not at the expense of the the citizens or losing what makes York County be York County. I believe we should not overwhelm police, fire, medical, roads, or schools for such growth. There are ways to get prepared for growth while preserving rural areas and agriculture.

Brad2.jpg

Brad Lessmeister

I’m a born & raised native of York County. Born at York General Hospital in Rock Hill. We love the small town, rural feeling and raising our kids around neighbors they know personally. I think very much the same as residents in York, Clover, Bethany, Smyrna, Sharon, Hickory Grove, and McConnells feel.

As a truck driver of 24 years, I know first hand the satisfaction of hard work. I know the struggles too. My wife and I work hard long hours and take pride in that. The pride of being able to support our family. Protect our way of life and secure it for our children. With your vote, I will be your voice when it counts.

John Moreno

I am Jonathan Moreno, I am running for York County District Four as a Republican. My family and I are originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, where I began my journey from College into the Palm Beach State College Police Academy. My girlfriend and I moved here with my step children and took a risk on a career in Law Enforcement in Rock Hill, South Carolina. My wife returned to school and finished her nursing program at the University of South Carolina. While I worked at the Rock Hill Police Department she worked at Piedmont Medical Center as a nurse. We purchased a home, got married and had our third son together. All three of my boys attend the Rock Hill School District and we are highly involved with our son's academics, athletics and special needs for our middle son who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of three.

During my Law Enforcement career I joined the K-9 Unit, SWAT team, Patrol, School Resource Officer, Defense Tactic Instructor and finished as a Violent Crime Investigator. I also coached, mentored and volunteered as a camp counselor for the Worthy Boys and Girls Camp. My family and I believe in Faith, Public Safety, Safe Growth / Infrastructure and Open United Communication between County, City and Schools. We are in a time where Law Enforcement is not supported, crime is on a rise, Education is lacking leadership and so is our Community. We have a County Councilman who has not accomplished anything but division, manipulation and he wants to be Mayor more than focusing on the District he serves and grew up in. Again, my name is Jonathan Moreno and you can find me on social media or following me at Moreno for County Council. I look forward to being your leader, your County Councilman and not another politician.
