CRUSA's sales and media mission to Germany
With IPW in Orlando less than a month away, the excitement around international travel's return to the US continues to grow.

As part of a return to more normal activities, Capital Region USA was recently in Germany for its second sales and media mission of the year.

In one of the largest missions ever, CRUSA partners from Destination DC, the Maryland Office of Tourism Development, and the Virginia Tourism Corporation were joined by representatives from Baltimore, Charlottesville, Fairfax, Frederick, and Virginia Beach for meetings in Frankfurt, Hannover, Hamburg, and Berlin.

Enthusiasm for travel to the US and our region remains high. Tour operators are experiencing strong levels of bookings, despite challenges around COVID testing requirements and rental car availability. The travel press is eager to tell the story of our reopening as well as highlighting the new things to do and places to stay.

Sales leads from the mission will be made available soon.

For those wanting to join a CRUSA mission, we have one more opportunity before the end of the fiscal year. Our French Sales Mission will be held June 20-24 in Lyon and Paris. If you're interested in selling your destination to the French travel trade, please contact me for more information.

Finally, don't forget to register for our Global Travel Exchange, October 10-12. This will be one of the most affordable and accessible ways to promote your destination, hotel, or attraction to European tour operators, eager to do business in the region.

Thank you for your continued support!

Reservations Now Open for CRUSA's 2023 Marketing Program

After more than two years away, overseas visitation is rebounding and international travelers are eager to return to the United States. Keep your destination top of mind as these travelers are planning their American holidays by participating in CRUSA’s 2023 Marketing Program.

CRUSA's overseas offices continue to promote the region, train travel agents, and fulfill requests for information. Their primary tool for doing all this? The Capital Region USA Holiday Guide produced by Miles Partnership.

Produced in four languages, the holiday guide is packed with travel tips, itinerary suggestions, and compelling stories and photography.

The guide will be released in market winter 2023, inspiring travelers who will be eager for an American holiday to pick the Capital Region for their 2023-2024 vacations.

In addition to the holiday guide, CRUSA’s Marketing Program includes website ads, consumer newsletter features, and social media coverage. As CRUSA is about to launch a fresh new site, now is the time to make sure your destination is featured on capitalregionusa.org, available in seven languages!

Be sure to budget for this key market segment of overseas travelers who stay longer and spend more money!
