City Nature Challenege Bioblitz |

Join us for a bioblitz at Berea City Park (we will meet by the skate park), May 1st at 3:00 pm. A bioblitz is an event where you take as many photos or audio recordings of wildlife as you can. This is a part of the City Nature Challenge 2022. Bring your camera or smart phone. Make an account on the iNaturalist website or app.
The City Nature Challenge is a global community science event that mobilizes urban residents and visitors to observe, document, and celebrate the wild plants, animals, and fungi in and around urban areas. HomeGrown HideAways cordially invites you to the Holler in the Holler Musicians Memorial Concert Series featuring opening performances by young musicians from the Rock School program at Lexington Music Education. This first show is dedicated to the memory of drummer extraordinaire, Todd Copeland. Join us on the 3rd Tuesday from May through October to honor our remembered friends. Each event will have a Food Truck onsite – cash preferred.
Central to the Magnolia Boulevard experience is a sound that flows easily and seamlessly from a multitude of stylistic tributaries, featuring vocalist Maggie Noelle, guitarist Gregg Erwin, keyboardist Ryan Allen, bassist John Roberts, and drummer Chad “The Beard” Gravitt. There’s plenty of blues, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll in the mix, but also elements of funk, jam band, folk, country, bluegrass, and psychedelia. It’s all fueled by the rhythm section’s elastic grooves, shot through with Erwin’s expressive and incisive slide guitar licks, and topped by Noelle’s soul-stirring, powerhouse vocals.

Artwork Spice Jar - Calling All Artists |

The Log House Craft Gallery is undertaking a project that requires approximately 30 illustrations of herbs, spices, and plants to be delivered in completion no later than June 30th. Submissions will be anonymously vetted through a four-person panel. The person whose artwork is chosen will then sign an agreement to complete 25-30 illustrations by June 30th. The Taleless Dog is so happy to be your local, neighborhood bookstore.
We are opening our doors on June 4th with special author book signings, readings, giveaways and more. Be sure to put this date on your calendar. Stay tuned for more details about events and times. Two other stores will also be opening their doors this day in the Sunshine Ballard Cottage.
