Thank you for a great Kickoff Conference!

Last week marked our first in-person kickoff conference in over two years! Thank you to all the conference attendees for making it an energizing day, and of course special thanks goes out to the organizing committee and hosts at York Regional Police for putting together a great conference!

Congratulations to our Rising Flame Award winners, who were presented with their awards during the conference by Chief Andrew Fletcher (Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police) and Cody Jansma (Director of Business Development, Special Olympics Ontario). This Rising Flame Award is to recognize an individual who shows exceptional promise of leadership and continued contribution to the Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run.

This years' award winners (pictured above, clockwise starting from the top left) are Teresa Pare (LaSalle Police Service), Sandra Lewis (Toronto Police Service), Ryan Johnston (Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre) and Michael Mallen (Peel Regional Police). Congratulations!

Group Fitness Fundraiser

May 21st on Zoom

If you were at the Kickoff Conference, you'll recognize Antonietta who led a fun-filled workout session - and she's doing it again! Taking place virtually on Saturday, May 21st @ 11:00am ET, you can join the workout hosted by abotti with Antonietta for $10 with all funds supporting Special Olympics Ontario athletes! Registrants will receive the Zoom link on the morning of the workout, so be sure to register in advance! 

Cops n' Cowboys is BACK!

May 26th (at select locations)

Cops n' Cowboys is back this year! Members of your local law enforcement agency will be serving tables at Lone Star Texas Grill restaurants to raise money and awareness of Special Olympics Ontario! 100% of the money raised will go to support sport programs reaching over 26,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across the province. Check with your agency rep to find a Cops n' Cowboys event near you!

Blue Ribbons for Special Olympics Golf Tournament

June 4th @ Shelburne Golf & Country Club

Come out and show your support for Special Olympics Ontario and enjoy a fun-filled day of golf! There will also be a putting contest and a silent auction, so register today! This event will run rain or shine!
