GOING GREEN: GRANT UPDATES
Atmos Zero Net Energy Home

We are incredibly excited to announce that Atmos Energy has donated $70,000 to build a Zero Net Energy (ZNE) home that will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide affordable energy bills for the homebuyer!

ZNE homes incorporate high-efficiency natural gas heating, water heating, building envelope efficiency, and install solar technology to make the home extremely efficient and environmentally responsible.

Thank you, Atmos Energy, for your commitment to Habitat and building safe and sustainable housing in our community!
Schneider Electric Solar Grant

Thanks to a $20,000 grant from Schneider Electric and a generous, dollar-for-dollar donation match from Helio's energy, HFHWM will install site-located, solar energy systems on two Habitat homes in Columbia, Tennessee this June.

The houses, powered by solar panels, will harness the sun’s power and convert it into electricity- minimizing CO2 usage, producing cleaner air and water, and reducing the cost of energy expenses for the homebuyers, George Davis & Patricia Willingham.

Thank you, Schneider Electric and Helio's Energy, for helping us build better together!
