Westhaven Women Build Team

Westhaven has heart! These wonderful ladies took time out of their weekend to help us splash some color onto our homes!

We are so appreciative to have these hardworking women support our Women Build Program year after year. Thank you to Westhaven and thank you to the Mapco team in Columbia for donating Pizza Hut for lunch!

These volunteers made a huge impact!

From painting to trim work and everything in between, this team made it happen and helped make our homes beautiful!

Thank you to these incredible volunteers for all of their helping hands!
First Farmers Bank

First Farmers Bank completed a TON of work on our to-do list!

This crew tackled painting, installing trim, and even built a shed!

With love and determination, this incredible crew truly showed what it means to be a volunteer!
We are seeking local individuals to join our Homeowner Selection Committee.

These volunteers have the important tasks of helping interview applicants, conducting home visits, and reviewing applications in the selection of future homebuyers.

Volunteers are asked to attend a meeting and at least one home visit a quarter. Our next meeting with be Monday, June 13th.

Please contact Ashley Alsup if you are interested in attending to learn more.
Atmos Zero Net Energy Home

We are incredibly excited to announce that Atmos Energy has donated $70,000 to build a Zero Net Energy (ZNE) home that will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and provide affordable energy bills for the homebuyer!

ZNE homes incorporate high-efficiency natural gas heating, water heating, building envelope efficiency, and install solar technology to make the home extremely efficient and environmentally responsible.

Thank you, Atmos Energy, for your commitment to Habitat and building safe and sustainable housing in our community!
Schneider Electric Solar Grant

Thanks to a $20,000 grant from Schneider Electric and a generous, dollar-for-dollar donation match from Helio's energy, HFHWM will install site-located, solar energy systems on two Habitat homes in Columbia, Tennessee this June.

The houses, powered by solar panels, will harness the sun’s power and convert it into electricity- minimizing CO2 usage, producing cleaner air and water, and reducing the cost of energy expenses for the homebuyers, George Davis & Patricia Willingham.

Thank you, Schneider Electric and Helio's Energy, for helping us build better together!
Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, guests, and community, our 13th Annual Hammers & High Heels event not only met but exceeded our $100,000 net goal with a grand total of $106,621!
