Happy Mothers Day 2.png

TRUSTEE CORNER

“I’m only wishing to go a’fishing; For this the month of May was made.”

— Henry Van Dyke

We are fortunate in Concord to have many great fishing spots. Make sure to cast a line in this month! Here are some fishing spots in Lake Metroparks to explore.

May is a busy months for graduations. We would like to congratulate all of the graduates this month. We are proud of their well-deserved success and wish them the best on their next adventure. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” —Eleanor Roosevelt

Finally, we’d like to honor mothers this month. Mothers are the epitome of love, sacrifice and patience. We are forever grateful for the women in our lives that care for us, inspire us and teach us. Have a wonderful and relaxing Mother’s Day!

Sincerely,

Your Concord Twp. Trustees

memorial day image.jpg

Memorial Day

Please join us at 9:00 am on Monday, May 30, 2022 for a brief Memorial Day Service at Concord Cemetery, which is located on SR 608, just east of Fire Station #1. This is a time to honor and pay tribute to the Veterans buried in our cemeteries and remember loved ones that have gone before us.

Sentimental Items

Please understand that if you are placing sentimental items on the graves, they may get lost, stolen or damaged; if it’s something that’s near and dear to your heart, we do not recommend that it be placed in the cemetery.

The cemetery staff reserves the right to remove any live decorations and non-floral decorations not in keeping with the beautification of the cemetery.

Prohibited Items

Glass of any kind (including gazing balls), styrofoam, birdhouses and feeders are prohibited.

1965 Expansion

The final work needed to complete the 1965 Expansion will begin soon. Top soil and hydro seed will be added and we anticipate full burial lot(s) to be available for pre-planning in the fall.

For more specific details, the Rules and Regulations are available at the entrance of the cemetery, online at http://concordtwp.com/departments/cemetery/ and in Town Hall. All persons are subject to the rules and regulations. Call Karen Warner, Cemetery Sexton, at the Cemetery Office at 440-354-7518 for any questions.
