Vertical board siding has begun to be installed at the Kennebec Terrace in Bath. It has been fully insulated and interior finishes are beginning to be installed as well. Double thick walls, triple-glazed windows oriented to the view, and tight air-sealing will create a very comfortable and quiet home. Construction by Chartier Building & Remodeling.

The Rose Stone bridge was finished ahead of schedule by CPM Constructors. Designed to handle emergency vehicles, it was also raised two feet above the existing bridge to keep it further above water and decrease the road grade. Next step is for the addition/renovation of the office building by Frohmiller Construction.

We recently received planning board approval for a 2,300 sf, modern and energy efficient home on a sloping site in Georgetown. We are going to call this project Decked Out because of the multitude of outdoor spaces to enjoy our wonderful, if short, Maine summers. Construction by Chartier Building & Remodeling.

David and I joined our friends for a quick get-away to Puerto Rico last month. We spent most of the time in Old San Juan walking 500 year old streets and sampling they city's food and drink. We might have also spent some time at the pool, too. Of course, the first thing David did was buy a Panama hat, so I got one too.

We love framing views and this one is from Cold Spring Farm in Phippsburg. The new addition will be an energy efficient year-round residence connected to a 1774 brick Georgian style "summer" house.
