Beware of the difference between service charges and surcharges
We are improving our servers to serve your needs better
The easiest way to get a thumbnail photo for your Webtix page
Have you memorized the support call extensions?
If you don't know the difference between "Surcharge" and "Service fee," it could cost you thousands of dollars in fines.
Did you know that the credit card industry has strict regulations on using the term "surcharge" and that it could actually be illegal in your state?
  • A surcharge is levied for using a particular payment type
  • A service charge or fee is applied for the services being rendered to sell a good or service.
  • Currently, 10 U.S. states have surcharging restrictions including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.

We are upgrading our servers to serve you better
Over the past few months, we've noticed increased utilization of our existing web servers. Because of this, we have redeveloped our server infrastructure to allow us to adapt with the ebb and flows of daily sales through Webtix, as well as plan ahead for future endeavors. This will result in:

  • Quicker page loads
  • Higher performance and
  • Higher traffic capacity, which in turn leads to more completed sales.

We are in the process of migrating all Webtix instances from our current infrastructure over to the new one.

Visibly, Webtix will look and feel the same, with the only visible change being the URL. For example, instead of the URL being tix5.centerstageticketing.com/sites/yourtheatrename, it will now be yourtheatrename.csstix.com, providing some basic brand personalization for you.

Additionally, we can further customize the domain, such as tickets.yourtheatrename.org. There is a one time setup charge for this, as it does require some setup time and coordination with you to set up.

Finally, there is nothing you need to do. Any existing links that have been used with the old domains will continue to work. Your patrons will automatically be re-directed to the new domain without any work for you.
We're google-eyed about this easy Google trick
to get thumbnail pictures for your Webtix shows
It's good to have a thumbnail on Webtix to draw attention to your upcoming shows. But just thinking about .jpgs and .pngs and file sizes can give you a headache.

There is a really easy trick to getting a thumbnail from a Google search page, though, as long as the image already exists there. If you search, for example, for "Eiffel Tower," you can choose from any image you like!
