Congratulations to our dear Trustee and continued supporter, Halé Behzadi, for receiving the Women in Wealth Investment Award. This much-deserved award recognizes her leadership and commitment to serving her community. Halé most recently joined us at our Women's Leadership Conference earlier this year where she spoke on our panel, "Redefining Leadership: Lift As You Climb." It is so inspiring to see Iranian American women be recognized for all that they contribute to their fields, and we thank Halé for being a source of empowerment for us all!

We would like to congratulate PariSima Hassani, IAWF Trustee and Board of Directors Member, on the receipt of a prestigious award presented to her architecture and interior design firm, Westgroup Designs (WD). Westgroup Designs received the 2022 IIDA Calibre Design Award for Best Healthcare Design for their Riverside University Health Systems Community Health Center building. PariSima, CEO and Managing Principal for the firm, accepted the award on stage at the event ceremony at the Los Angeles Coliseum on Friday, May 20, 2022. This new healthcare facility will provide services for the city’s indigent population, in addition to being the local clinic for many in the adjacent, dense residential neighborhoods. It is amazing to see the life-changing work that PariSima and her firm are creating, and we are proud to count on her leadership.

IAWF's Los Angeles Rising Leaders Chapter hosted its first event of the year on Thursday, May 5 at Skylight Gardens. Attendees joined us for a Q&A with Leila Nazarian, founder of Eclectic Decks, a contemporary art and lifestyle brand that fuses traditional art-forms from around the world with a modern-day platform. It was a great evening full of inspiration and connection, and participants also entered our raffle featuring a variety of prizes.
