Cyanotype Printing Workshop - Late May 2023
Cyanotype printing is one of the oldest forms of photography. In the last full week of May (22nd through 26th), we are planning on holding a free workshop showing off this amazing, and amazingly beautiful art form. This workshop is weather dependent, so keep an eye on the Facebook page for an announcement, when we get a clear day.
Shut Up and Write Workshop: Thursdays from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Join us for an hour (or two) of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 5:30 PM on Thursday evenings.

**SCHEDULE:**
5:30 PM: Getting settled
5:45 PM: Timer starts: write for 1 hour
6:45 PM: Five minute stretch break! You can also leave for the day if you need to (sometimes an hour is exactly the right amount and sometimes you need more!) You can also keep writing if you'd like and ignore the break.
7:30 PM: The End: chat, take off, or keep writing

**OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING** happens at 7:30. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.

**BEING LATE OR LEAVING EARLY IS OKAY:** just show up and get settled and start writing. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. If you need to leave early, you can leave any time you need to.

**What Should I Bring?**
Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to listen to music for inspiration, help with focus, or any other reason that suits you. If you write on a laptop, we recommend bringing a laptop charger or fully charging your laptop beforehand.
New Age Wisdom - Death and It's Cultural and Spiritual Symbolism

Kegley Conference Room to discuss a spiritual-themed book, but this month we will have a general discussion about the intersection between spirituality and morality. Saturday, May 20th at 10:30 AM in the Frances E. Kegley Conference Room.

Kegley Conference room on the upper floor of the library, and the meeting is a hybrid - you can join either in person or Zoom here. Email gwakely@bristol-library.org for more information.
