We finally made it - longer and sunny days are here! Now that summer is on the horizon, in the coming month we are shifting from After School Time to summer camps and getting ready for a summer packed with fun adventures. We’ve got more details about what’s happening at the NECC. Check it out!

  • Hearing Health Fair with Pacific College at NECC, 1-3 PM, May 20

Calling PDX Businesses:
Host a Summer Camp!
Out and About Camp is returning this summer to teach kids about public transportation while exploring Portland's neighborhoods, parks, and businesses. 

We are seeking local businesses that would be interested in partnering with us to provide a unique and enriching experience for our campers. Examples from last year include an urban farm, a local model train club, and a local restaurant.

Getting to Know Northeast Village PDX!
Are you looking to expand your social circle and join others who believe a better experience of aging is possible?

Becoming a member at Northeast Village PDX offers two types of memberships - Associate and Full Service. Both provide access to an exciting array of social and educational activities, including morning coffee gatherings and happy hours, and special interest educational and discussion groups.

Want to learn more? NECC will be hosting a drop-in NEV info session on May 9th from 11:30-1 PM in MPR A.

Join us this Summer as we Explore Portland by Bike!
Every day is a new experience in our bike camp as kids go on daily rides through different parks and natural areas, discovering new trails.

Our experienced counselors will teach campers proper bike handling techniques and basic maintenance, as well as how to navigate different types of terrain and overcome challenges.
Hearing Health Fair at NECC
On Saturday, May 20, join us for a free Hearing Health Fair!

This one-day event is a great opportunity to check up on your hearing health and receive resources from local health professionals. Attendees will have access to free hearing screenings, referrals, a fall prevention workshop, and a raffle!

Free. Open to all ages. 1-3 PM. NECC gym.
Time Change! Otter’s Sound + Movement Improv class
Otter’s Sound + Movement Improv class has a time change: In the month of May, it will take place on Mondays from 3:30-5 PM in MPR. 

This class is a fun and collaborative opportunity for creatives of all skill levels looking to groove, move, and improvise together. All are welcome, and no prior experience is necessary! Come join us and express yourself!
