OPPORTUNITIES FOR PROGRAMS AND YOUTH

Calling all OST programs in Nevada! NAN is excited to announce the opening of the Building Opportunities in Out-of-School Time (BOOST) Grant that aims to provide funding opportunities to increase access to high-quality and comprehensive OST programs to Nevada youth. Over $1 million in funds available! The deadline is June 9th at 5 PM PST.

The 2023 National Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge is now open!
|
Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge is a simple set of activities that helps kids learn creativity, problem solving, critical thinking and presentation skills. K-12 students are invited to create and submit video elevator pitches by July 15, 2023.

23-24 STEM Leaders Academy Applications Open Now!
|
Interested in making the shift to STEM, but not sure how? School teams that participate in the academy learn about high-quality STEM schools, develop their own STEM goals, and create a long-term plan for making the shift. $20,000 available per school to implement the plan!

Engineering Fellows Applications Now Open!

Nevada 4th grade teachers are invited to join this year's program. Learn about high-quality engineering lessons, modify/create a lesson to add to your existing curriculum, receive a bank of lessons from your peers, and a stipend to purchase materials.

Forum’s commitment to strengthening programs, supporting system leaders and

Afterschool Alliance: Youth Voice Toolkit
|
This resource has been designed to be a collection of currently existing resources, spotlights of partners in the education and youth advocacy space, and useful definitions and terminology for this work. Additionally, in an attempt to model some of the promising practices outlined by currently existing resources, this piece is framed by direct recommendations of youth and has been supported by a youth advisory board that has contributed to, designed, and edited the final versions of this toolkit.
