Desmariah Langford, Early Learning Lead Teacher
We are excited to introduce Desmaria, one of our most dedicated teachers here at YWCA Young Wonders. She has been with us for 4 years and is always willing to go above and beyond for her students.
When asked about the best advice she could give someone who just started their career, Desmaria emphasized the importance of building strong relationships with coworkers and understanding the work environment. As she says, "teamwork makes the dream work," and healthy work relationships lead to healthy work environments.
Desmaria's love for teaching shines through in everything she does. When asked what she loves most about her job, she immediately replied with how much she enjoys working with the children and building small bonds with them. She finds it incredibly rewarding to watch them grow and develop into smart, beautiful children.
When she's not at work, Desmaria enjoys binge-watching zombie-related shows like Z Nation. But, if she had to eat one meal every day for the rest of her life, she would choose tacos because of the endless possibilities for toppings and meat choices.
We are grateful to have Desmaria as a part of our team and are inspired by her dedication and passion for teaching.
