Highlights include:

• $39.4 million in CDFI loans and $27.4 million in New Markets Tax Credit loans to finance 18 projects
• Financed projects that will create or retain 1,047 jobs and serve 1,349 people each year
• Since inception, we have provided over 72% of borrowers with hands-on development services, including financial structuring, capital raising and real estate technical assistance
• Historically, 83% of projects we financed are women and/or minority-controlled enterprises
• To date, 85% of borrowers have increased their annual revenues and/or net worth since Genesis LA provided financing

Beyond these quantitative impacts, I am grateful for the return of our Genesis LA colleagues to regular, in-person work in 2022 (more on this topic in the Annual Report). If you've ever heard us talk about our staff, we often describe our team as a family. Part of that bond results from our relatively small size (we added our twelfth employee in April 2023), and that we are all located in a single local geography. But the bonds are really formed through our intentional and consistent personal connections - bonds that authentically form from being with one another, most of the work week, in-person. I want to celebrate our team’s collective success and impact in 2022 and thank them for choosing to be together, in the city that we all love and serve each day.
