Three, Two, One, GO! Put your week end into high gear and come over to South Coast Sailing Adventures and join us in the annual Rum Race Series! The Rum Race Series is an annual event sponsored by the Galveston Bay Cruising Association and Cruzan Rum. The races are intended for fun, informal racing. They are open to sailors of all ages and experience levels, and are a great opportunity for anyone to get some sailing experience in a competitive environment.
The total course length is 11 nautical miles.

Races Almost Every Wednesday
Through September, there is just enough light in the day on Wednesday afternoons to get on the water for a sailboat race! Join us on Clear Lake this summer and build your sailing resume. Practice identifying points of sail, tacking and making quick right of way decisions. This is a great venue to sharpen boat and sail-handling skills!

June 24-25, 2023
This race is held offshore in the Gulf of Mexico starting at the Galveston jetties. The race begins on Saturday afternoon and finishes on Sunday. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in improving their skills. The race will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

Lucy celebrated her 60th birthday! With its beautiful calm anchorages and uninhabited atolls, Tahiti is a dream like destination you must see for yourself! One of our ASA Certified Sailing Instructors, Capt. Lori Hefley, has a beloved son Jeremy Hefley, battling cancer and we are extending an invitation to participate in a Benefit on Saturday, June 10th. In January, Jeremy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Brain Cancer. He is currently undergoing treatment with radiation and Chemo therapy. He has two young children and this Benefit will help with hospital bills and other expenditures. The Benefit will be at B3's Bobbies Bayou Bar starting at noon with BBQ, raffles, Big Jordan Band and a bouncy house.
