Aren't the gardens just beautiful as they begin to grow? I've been out there every day looking for leaves and buds, and wondering why some plants have just disappeared! It's my favorite time of year and I am a compulsive weeder!
We've come up with some great classes, but do you know what the hardest part of scheduling the classes is?? It's WHEN to schedule them! I never know what time of day works best and it always seems to be changing. I hope you'll let us know if you have an interest, but can't make the time slot!
What's on your needles?? I'm just finishing up (well, I'm on the sleeves) my second Sienna Sweater. I'm ready to cast on for a Rock It Tee, in black..... what am I thinking?

Ranunculus

Sometimes a sweater is so easy to wear and so versatile, you need more than one! Ranunculus can be made lightweight and airy or more substantial and cozy, way oversized or just boxy. There is just enough lace and texture in the yoke to be fun to knit and pretty to wear!
Ranunculus can be made in almost any yarn from fingering to light worsted, or add mohair for a bit more fluff. Check out the project pages on Ravelry here for so many different versions and fit choices.

Rock It Tee

Will you want more than one of these?? Yes, you will!
Airy and simple, striped or not, this top-down tee is a great wardrobe basic. Rock It is worked top-down, back and forth until you reach the bottom of the shallow V, and then in the round. It can be fitted or very boxy, depending on your personal style.

Cozy Crochet
Air Plant Hanger

Crochet a boho-chic air plant hanger--make one, and you'll want to make more! We'll brush up on the crochet stitches needed, then get you started with this fun pattern from February Sky Designs.
(participants will need to purchase the pattern, and 3.5 mm hook; we'll supply the yarn, wood rings and beads)

Mend it!

Are your precious hand-knit socks getting holes in them? Did the moths (gasp!) find your favorite sweater? In this workshop, we'll use a woven technique to darn your knits and mend your wovens. Bring a knitted piece with a small hole, or a knitted swatch (that you don't mind cutting into), and a woven shirt or tablecloth with a small hole (or a piece of fabric that you don't mind cutting into). We suggest avoiding jeans and other heavy weight items as well as slippery fabrics.
We will have swatches, woven fabric scraps, and embroidery thread for you to play with or you can bring your own.

Come join us and make(or start) Knitted Knockers to be donated to women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. If you haven't made one before, we'll be happy to help you get started! (there is also a crocheted version!)
