Making a Difference

In communities throughout Florida, FCP church plants are making a difference. These young churches are loving people, helping to meet a variety of needs, and pointing people to Jesus! In this edition of our newsletter, you will find a few stories of how our churches are having an impact both locally and globally.

Eastside Christian Church in Orlando has developed a community partnership with Choices Women’s Clinic, a pro-life medical ministry. Choices recently opened a location near UCF and asked local churches to come alongside and disciple new moms who choose life. The staff at Choices said, “we can provide medical care but only the church can make disciples.” Eastside is excited to partner with them and has adopted one of their new moms, providing a baby shower for her on Mother's Day! Not only did they provide all the items she would need to care for her baby, they are standing beside her and showing her God's generous love by meeting a variety of her needs.

RŪ Church in Tampa has been offering Alpha, a safe space for people to freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. These weekly conversations include free dinner and allow people to explore faith, life and their questions about God. More than a dozen people have been attending and learning. Not only have they been using Alpha to make a difference but God has also been working in their Sunday morning gatherings, averaging 147 in worship and celebrating 23 baptisms in the first quarter of this year!

So Flo Church in West Palm Beach is gearing up for their first ever Mission Trip to Kenya, Africa later this year! They will be taking a small group of people to make a difference across the globe. They are also making a difference in West Palm. They are averaging over 200 in worship and from January to March celebrated 15 baptisms. Lives are being changed locally and globally because of So Flo!

This is just a small sample of the ways our church plants are making a difference!
