The Rural Fire Protection (RFP) Program within the Arkansas Department of Agriculture’s Forestry Division is dedicated to assisting communities and fire departments in protecting lives, property, and the environment.

Compton and Crawford County #9 fire departments each received a 2024 Gravely Atlas UTV outfitted with a winch, light bars, and decals. Pictured is Compton Assistant Fire Chief Bobbie Hickman.
Pine Ridge Fire Department received their 1998 E-One Freightliner Pumper that they purchased from an out-of-state fire department. The Rural Fire Protection Program provided transportation of this vehicle at no cost to the fire department. Pictured is Chief Rusty Lewis with his daughters Sara and Emily.
