What's New

Through the Pennsylvania State Small Business Credit Initiative (PA-SSBCI), small businesses have access to three programs to support private financing for small businesses including loans, equity investments in existing and emerging technology companies, and loans for venture capital general partners of diverse status to invest in PA small businesses.


The program is overseen by the PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED) through local and regional economic development partners across the state. Historical & Archival Records Care Grant


Funding is available to historical records repositories – such as historical societies, libraries, universities, local governments, and school districts for collections care through the Historical & Archival Records Care grant program. The program offers individual grants of up to $5,000 with no match required and is designed to improve the preservation of historically valuable original records.

Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program


PA Council on the Arts has opened its Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator Program which pairs access to existing small business consulting services with $2,000 grants for creative entrepreneurs who aspire to start their own for-profit business or who operate an existing for-profit micro business. Creative entrepreneurs include individuals in the following industry areas: marketing, architecture, visual arts and crafts, design, film and media, digital games, music and entertainment, and publishing.

Sports Marketing and Tourism Program


PA’s Sports Marketing and Tourism (SMAT) Program is aimed at attracting high-quality amateur, and professional sporting and e-sports events to the state. Municipalities, local authorities, non-profit organizations, or other eligible entities can apply for funding that helps to advance and promote year-round tourism, economic impact, and quality of life through sports.

Coming Soon!

The PA Department of Transportation will open a proposal period on May 13 through July 10 for funds to support electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. The funds will be awarded on a competitive basis to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain EV charging infrastructure across the state.

And as a reminder, this program remains open for applications:

The Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program which provides funds of up to $250,000 for planning, acquisition, development, rehabilitation and repair of greenways, recreational trails, open space, parks and beautification projects. The deadline is May 31, 2024. More information is available on the CFA website.
