IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR MEMBERS WITH UNION BANK (NOW U.S. BANK)

SBCERS has received notice from our Automated Clearing House (ACH) provider that members who had monthly retirement benefit payments deposited in Union Bank accounts have been assigned a new routing number and account numbers after the merger with U.S. Bank.

After a bank merger occurs, it is common for accounts to be temporarily mapped to new routing numbers and for old checks to be honored for a period of time. However, this is a temporary solution and will eventually be discontinued.

Members who were affected by the U.S. Bank merger must resubmit their direct deposit information to SBCERS in order to avoid possible interruption in payment. On May 7th, we mailed each impacted member a letter to their address of record, including instructions and a form for providing new Direct Deposit information, and a self-addressed return envelope. If you received this letter, please be sure to respond with new updated Direct Deposit information by June 15, 2024.

The form must be accompanied with supporting documentation as indicated on the SBCERS Direct Deposit Authorization form, which is one of the following:

  • A voided check with new account information, or,
  • A bank provided direct deposit authorization letter that includes your name, new routing number, and new account number. This authorization letter may be obtained directly from your bank, or, if you utilize on-line banking with your bank, may be retrieved from your online account.

If you have questions regarding this request and/or if there is a problem with your bank account, please contact us as soon as possible at (877) 568-2940.

UPCOMING OFFICE CLOSURES

SBCERS will be closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day and Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
