Workforce Development: The Village Matchmaker

Our partner, EastBay EDA, recently illustrated how workforce development organizations support both job seekers and businesses on a more personal level.

Unlike anonymous websites, workforce development organizations know job seekers on a personal level, understand what employers need, and make trusted referrals that lead to lasting employment. In many cases, they can provide up to $5,000 in wage subsidies to support training new hires.

For more information or to arrange an introduction for your local organization, contact EASTBAYWorks’ Regional Manufacturing Careers Specialist, Claire Michaels, at cmichaels@ehsd.cccounty.us.
