May is National Clean Air Month!
As we move into the summer months, understanding the air quality index is crucial for maintaining healthy lungs.
The U.S. Air Quality Index (AQI) is the EPA's tool for communicating about outdoor air quality and health. The AQI includes six color-coded categories, each corresponding to a range of index values. The higher the AQI value, the greater the level of air pollution and the greater the health concern.

Natural gas is a domestically produced alternative fuel that is readily available to end-users through the utility infrastructure. It can produce significantly fewer harmful emissions than gasoline or diesel when used in natural gas vehicles.
Natural gas is a mixture of hydrocarbons, predominantly methane (CH4). As delivered through the pipeline system, it also contains hydrocarbons, such as ethane and propane, as well as other gases, including nitrogen, helium, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, and water vapor.

He noted that RNG can offer even more benefits, especially when used to complement a fleet that already uses natural gas.
But before deciding which (or both) fuel methods to use, it helps to understand some of the key benefits of CNG and RNG."
