May 2025

From the Executive Director

Dear Independence Alliance Supporters,

Over the next few weeks, we will be completing our 2025-2027 Strategic Plan. One of our organizational objectives is to engage the community through relevant and timely information. Our newsletter is one important way we reach the community, and we appreciate that you take the time to read it at the beginning of each month. To set clear and measurable objectives for the next two years and assure that we are true to our mission, we are asking our supporters to provide their input about communication through our newsletter by taking a brief survey.

I know you are thinking “Oh no, not another survey,” but two minutes of your time could pay off! By completing the survey before May 8, and entering your name and email address at the end, you will be included in a drawing for TWO tickets to Abilities at Bat at Great American Ballpark on Saturday, May 24 at 4:10pm. With fun promotional items, pre-game ceremonies, a ceremonial first pitch and an opportunity to join others for the on-field parade before the game between the Reds and the Cubs, this event will highlight and celebrate people of all abilities in our community while building awareness of disability services. One lucky winner will be notified by email on Thursday, May 8.

Thank you in advance for providing your valuable input. Click on this link to complete the survey.

With appreciation,

Rob

P.S. My disability trivia will return in our June newsletter!

On Monday, April 7th, we were pleased to host State Representatives Brownlee, Odioso, and Thomas, as well as Senator Ingram for breakfast and a presentation from our Executive Director about Independence Alliance and a discussion about how we can support constituents with disabilities in their districts. Thank you to our Board Members Gena Stonefield, Betsy Mann, and Board Chair Neil Kelly for joining us. We appreciate the support of Ryan Mount with Lang Financial Group, Inc. for sponsoring our breakfast meeting.
