It’s officially CAMP SEASON!

We’re excited to kick off our summer with a Youth Retreat from May 29–31. It’s been a few years since our last youth camp, and I’m thrilled that some of our Youth Ministers are stepping up to plan and lead this retreat. The retreat is for students in the 6th- 12th grades.

Following that, we’ll host Girls’ and Boys’ Camps in June, and our Day Camp in July. Please begin praying for everyone involved—Directors, camp missionaries, and participants. We are currently in need of committed volunteers to serve at our camps. Applications for children and youth camps are also available there. All of the information for the camps is on the application as well. If you have any questions regarding the camps, please feel free to contact me. I want to encourage all our churches to take a moment during Sunday morning worship on May 18th to highlight and celebrate what God is doing through our camp ministry. Each year, we witness an average of 10 students surrendering their lives to Christ—a powerful testimony to the impact of your prayers, service, and financial support. Last year, we invited churches to receive a love offering to help cover the ongoing expenses of maintaining our camp facilities, including the swimming pool. We are asking you to consider doing the same again this year. Your generosity helps ensure that this campground continues to be a place where lives are changed for eternity.

I am looking forward to our Second Annual Senior Adult Inspirational Service and Luncheon. This year, we will be meeting at Northern Heights Baptist Church beginning at 10:30 am. Steve Williams (Minister of Music, Pinecrest) will be leading our worship, and Chris Reynolds (GBMB) will be bringing a message from God's word. We will also have a great time of fellowship at the luncheon following the service. We need to know how many from each church will be attending so we can be prepared for the meal that will be served. I hope all of our wonderful Senior Saints will join us for this special time!

I’m excited to be part of a mission team from Penia Baptist Church and Pinecrest Baptist Church heading to Peru from June 31 to July 4. Our team will be involved in door-to-door evangelism, supporting local churches and mission churches as they reach indigenous communities with the Gospel. We’ll also have opportunities to preach and share the Good News in various locations. Please be in prayer that God will work through our team in powerful and meaningful ways.

This summer, many of our churches will be hosting Vacation Bible School—a wonderful evangelistic opportunity to reach boys and girls with the Gospel. Please pray for these churches and their volunteers. I hope to visit as many VBS programs as my schedule allows. I’m already praying that lives will be changed through these efforts, and I invite you to join me in that prayer.

May God bless our pastors and churches as we unite to share the Gospel. With over 80% of people in our communities not attending church, the mission field is right outside our doors. Many are lost and need to hear the Good News of the Gospel. Let’s keep the Gospel at the heart of everything we do.
