Business Retention & Expansion Visit to OCEDP Member Business: Wilstem Wildlife & Safari Park

It's not everyday you get to go on a drive-thru animal safari for a Business Retention and Expansion visit!

OCEDP took a trip to Wilstem to learn about their operations and learn how we can continue to be a partner that serves our member businesses. Of course, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to experience the safari first hand. What a fun day!

Keep an eye out this holiday season for Annual Season Passes being offered at Wilstem!

OCEDP hosts QuickBooks Online Training Spring 2025

The spring training for QuickBooks Online has came to an end.

What a fun two days this class has had learning all things QuickBooks from our very own member business Penny Tracker LLC/Kari Johnson.

OCEDP has been hosting this class in our office twice a year for the past couple of years and we always have a great turnout with everyone leaving saying, "We really learned a lot." Kari is a great teacher.

If you or someone you know would be interested in a Fall 2025 class send us an email at info@ocedp.com.

A Thank You to Duke Energy

OCEDP was fortunate to receive a grant from Duke Energy to assist in our marketing efforts for the Orange County Workforce Housing Development.

Duke Energy has selected four economic development

organizations in southern Indiana for inclusion in its 2025 Partnership Program, which

funds marketing and strategic efforts to attract new jobs and investment to Indiana.

“This program gives our local economic development partners the tools they need to

showcase the strengths of their communities – both at home and on the national stage,”

said Erin Schneider, managing director of economic development at Duke Energy. “It’s

just one of the many ways we’re helping influence growth in the state to build

competitive, thriving communities.”

Partnership Program grant funds can be used to support a wide array of marketing

initiatives, including trade show attendance, website redesign, promotional materials,

and presentations or tours to introduce prospective companies and site selectors to a

community.

To qualify for program consideration, each applicant submitted a plan that would have a

direct impact on their community’s economic growth. Grant amounts varied depending

on the size and scope of the project.
